The summer is well underway but it’s not over yet! Here’s our top 6 events and activities that are happening around Liverpool, to help you make the most of the rest of the summer holidays.
We’ve chosen some indoor and outdoor options, so no matter what the weather throws at you, there’s always something exciting to get involved in!
Urban beach at Calderstones park
The urban beach at Calderstones Park is bigger than ever this year. All of the fairground rides and attractions are priced at £1.50. During weekdays there are free kids activities with the Pop Up Story Barn, plus a range of superheroes and Disney characters for the kids to meet. Check out the Facebook page for activity times.
Imagine That! Is Liverpool's Science and Discovery Centre for children. Your little inventors can embrace their inner curiosity with hands-on science shows, experiments, fancy dress, arts and crafts, outdoor activities and workshops.
Liverpool Indoor Funfair
The Liverpool Indoor funfair is back to see the summer off! The fairground rides will be at Liverpool Exhibition Centre for a whole week so you can come back day after day to relive the thrills and laughter. It provides a fantastic option for those rainy days too!
FlorrieFest 2019 free family street party
The Florrie is celebrating its 130 year birthday with a free family street party. It will be a day to remember with free pony rides, a market, live music, yoga, history talks, bouncy castles, table tennis, circus performances and of course a birthday cake! If your kids are a bit older then why not get competitive and challenge them to a race across this giant inflatable obstacle course? The adrenaline-fuelled Adventure Dock course will have you bouncing, splashing and sliding to your hearts content.
Speke Adventure Playground
Under 16s can get active and make new friends with open access to Speke Adventure Playground. Over the summer holidays, there’s an exciting programme of activities planned that includes sports, crafts, cookery and a weekly day trip. Check out the website for more information.
